Career Connections is available in person, via phone, by email, or by video conference (like Zoom or Collaborate) to assist you in seeking employment (full-time or part-time). The summer hours are Monday & Tuesday 8:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m., Wednesday & Thursday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and Friday 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon.

Please continue to look for and read your weekly “Cobra Jobs” email as well. If you see a job you're interested in, please contact Career Connections, and we will be happy to assist. Appointments are encouraged at this time. To schedule an appointment call them at 828-726-2609 or email them at careerconnections@cccti.edu.

Speaking of employment, please make sure that you have activated your College Central Network account. All students have been pre-registered to this site; you just need to activate your account. If you are unable to activate your account, please email us at careerconnections@cccti.edu and include your name, student ID number, and the best phone number to contact you at. You can also upload your resume to this site so employers can access and view your resume and contact you for an interview.

Also, Career Connections is your "one stop shop" to help you create or update your resume(s). You can send your resume document via email (careerconnections@cccti.edu) for review, and/or they can assist you with resume preparation (via in person or video conference if you'd like to speak "face-to-face").

Speaking of video conferences, if you're interested in practicing your interview skills, they are available to help with this by scheduling a mock interview via video conference or in person. Normally, a mock interview takes about 30 minutes. Career Connections will ask you a series of questions as if you are in an actual job interview, and at the end, they will give you feedback about what you did well and tips on areas in which you might need to improve.

Career Connections look forward to working with you! For more information contact Sara Greene, Coordinator of Career Connections
